QLD School Holidays (Spring)
Family adventures plus hobby horse gymkhanas. Includes the Famous Fairhill Spring Festival and the Spring Equinox on 23 September celebrating renewal and new growth.

Spring Equinox Bonfire Celebration
The Spring Equinox, when day and night share the hours equally, falls on Wednesday 23 September. Fairhill marks it with a bonfire celebration in the gardens, celebrating renewal and new growth in the middle of the spring school holidays. The Bonfire Lighting is at 2.30pm: come and burn away your troubles and welcome an even brighter future. Marshmallow toasting at the bonfire follows. The gardens are open all day from 8am, so make a day of it.

World Rivers Day at Turtle Lake
World Rivers Day falls on the fourth Sunday of September, a worldwide celebration of waterways and everything that lives in and around them. You won't find a river at Fairhill, but you will find Turtle Lake, and on Sunday 27 September the water takes the headline. Head down to the lake and meet the locals: long-necked turtles, friendly ducks happy to be fed, and Australian water dragons soaking up the spring sun on the rocks. The Mini Goats Promenade makes its daily walk down to the water too, so the goats will be marking the day with you. Turtle Treasures, a treasure hunt around the lake, runs through the day. And with the spring school holidays in full swing, it is a very easy Sunday to say yes to. Fairhill Farmyard Adventures runs through the morning, baby goat cuddles are at 12.30pm in the Kids' Barn, and the Gardens Café is open all day.

Absolutely loved our visit to Fairhill Garden Botanic Adventures! 🌿💗 I took my one-year-old and she absolutely loved it. So much to explore and see, and it was such a beautiful experience for little ones. We’ll definitely be back! 🥰✨

The friendly staff, well stocked retail outlet and great coffee and food were just the start of a great day. Goat walk was fun but the feeding and cuddles of the 6week old goat kids was the Best! Loved this for the feel good buzz this gives you....anx we are adults. The Nursery was impressive and I can see the new owners are determined to restore this place to it's former glory. Slowly it will really shine. Don't expect sophisticated....enjoy the calm 🥰

I always love my visits to Fairhill. It is so much more than the beautiful native nursery and gardens. A wonderful café, great staff to help with enquiries and a real community feel.
