Native Beekeeping 101
The March 15th event is sold out, but due to high demand, we've added a second workshop on May 3rd!
Presented by Ian Driver, Owner/Operator of A Green Soul Native Bees and Executive Member of the Australian Native Bee Association, well-known for his TV appearances. Arrive from 8am, with the event starting at 9am and running until 12 noon.
A Green Soul Native Bees, based on the Sunshine Coast, specializes in native stingless bees and related products.
In this engaging Native Beekeeping 101 Workshop, you’ll be introduced to both Australian stingless bees and solitary bees. Learn how to attract these valuable pollinators to your garden using plants and insect hotels. Enjoy a live stingless bee hive split, a taste of their honey, and create your own bee hotel to take home!

Join a small group of women for a hands-on Garden Tools Workshop at Fairhill Nursery! Learn how to safely clean, sharpen, and maintain tools like secateurs, loppers, axes, and more. Bring your own tools and gain the confidence to keep them sharp and ready for action!
All materials are provided, and you'll have the chance to purchase files on the day. Perfect for both beginner and experienced gardeners. Women ages 16+ welcome (under 18 with an adult).
